Privacy Policy

It is our practice to be accountable for the personal information that is collected from Employees and is under our control. Employees should not collect personal information from anyone unless for an authorized purpose and approved by the individual. Accountability for compliance with these principles rests with the leadership team of the Company, even though other individuals within the organization may be responsible for the day-to-day collection and processing of personal information. In addition, other individuals within the organization may be delegated to act on behalf of the leadership team.

We are responsible for any personal information in our possession or custody, including information that has been transferred to a third party for processing (i.e., for background checks, payroll or benefits processing purposes). We shall use contractual or other means to provide a comparable level of protection while a third party is processing the information. Any questions regarding a privacy issue, should be directed to management.

We have created this privacy policy in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to preserving privacy as it relates to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information both within the Company and on our website. Please also see the privacy policy that pertains to our Company website at: http://www.avenirenergy.ca. For any questions, please contact management. Both Employees and those who use our website agree to the use of their information as described herein.

The use of such information will only be for the purpose for which it was collected. The Company collects this information in order to provide the best and most complete services possible. Under no circumstances do we sell personal information to other organizations.

Important details regarding privacy are as follows:

Digital Monitoring: In the course of conducting our business, we may monitor our facilities and equipment. Some Avenir Energy locations are equipped with surveillance cameras. These cameras are generally in high-risk areas or plant sites. Where in use, surveillance cameras are there for the protection of employees and third parties, and to protect against theft, vandalism and damage to Company goods and property. Generally, recorded images are routinely destroyed and not shared with third parties unless there is suspicion of a crime, in which case they may be turned over to the police or other appropriate government agency or authority. This is not meant to suggest that all individuals visiting our facilities will in fact be monitored or their actions subject to surveillance. It is meant to bring to your attention that such monitoring may occur and may result in the collection of personal information from you.

Children's Privacy protection: We understand the importance of protecting children's privacy in the interactive online world. The Avenir Energy website is not designed for or intentionally targeted at children under the age of 18 and it is not our policy to intentionally collect or maintain information about anyone under the age of 18.
